Rain Barrel InstallationWorkshop on Sunday, May 19th 12:30 – 1:30 pm, Room 4/5. Join us on May 19th at 12:30 p.m. for a hands-on workshop to learn how to install rain barrels by helping us install two at the UUCPA. Then, install your own rain barrels at home to save hundreds of gallons of municipal water so fish in the Tuolumne River can use it instead. Water with chlorine-free rainwater that plants love. Slow downspout water, reduce flooding, and recharge groundwater. All ages are welcome at this hands-on workshop. We’ll start in Room 4/5, then move outside. A simple lunch will be provided.

Chris Corvetti, Rain Barrel Installation Specialist for Grassroots Ecology and member of UUCPA’s Young Adult Group, will lead the workshop. Chris has been leading rain barrel workshops in and around Palo Alto for the past two years.
