Alert People of Color Who Have Been Taken Off The Voter Rolls

Please sign up to join us on 2nd Sunday, March 8 through October 11, from 3-5 p.m. (room TBA) to phonebank to and write postcards to people of color who have been taken off the voter rolls in key states for 2020 – states where a Senate seat is in play.  Reclaim Our Vote works with local NAACP and similar organizations, using their voter lists, to alert people who have been disenfranchised, encouraging them to re-register and giving them the information to do so. Help give people their voices for the upcoming primaries and caucuses ~ supporting our UU the Vote efforts!

Please e-mail ElsaSchafer@uucpa.org to RSVP. If you can volunteer with us to help set up or clean up, we’d be grateful ~ please mention that too.  Onward!

Reclaim Our Vote is a volunteer-driven, nonpartisan outreach campaign to fight voter suppression, especially in the South.  We are organized by the Center for Common Ground of Virginia, with the help of the NAACP, Black Voters Matter, VoteRiders, DemLabs, Mi Familia Vota and other organizations.  We phone, postcard, and text voters of color who were purged from the voter rolls, to ask them to re-register and vote.
