Like Latin American Catholics who amplified the liberatory teachings of Jesus for their circumstances, theologians and activists from marginalized groups have used religion as a tool for social change. In fact, they argue persuasively that life on the margins and borders can give rise to a particular insight and power that the whole world needs. Gloria Anzaldua, James Cone, Mary Daly, Clenora F. Hudson-Weems, Ada Maria Isasi-Diaz, and Judtih Plaskow will be some of our guides.
