Our 2026–2027 Curriculum: Soul Matters

This year, all grades will follow the Soul Matters curriculum. Each month, we will explore a specific spiritual theme alongside fellow Unitarian Universalist congregations, connecting our kids to each other and our wider faith.

Course Offerings by Grade

  • Preschool – 2nd Grade
  • 3rd Grade – 5th Grade
  • 6th Grade – 8th Grade
  • Coming of Age (8th – 12th Graders): A modern rite of passage experience (similar to confirmation or a bar/bat mitzvah) that welcomes and affirms youth as they journey toward young adulthood. Youth are supported by volunteer facilitators, ministers, and congregational mentors.
  • Senior High Youth Group: Back on the UUCPA campus this year! Evening times TBA.

Our Whole Lives (Grades 7–9)

Our Whole Lives (OWL) is a highly acclaimed, values-based sexuality education program. It embodies core UU values, including individual dignity, personal responsibility, and our essential interdependence. We are planning to offer this course for 7-9th graders.

  • Schedule: Sunday afternoons 1:00-3:30 PM.
  • Dates: September 27, 2026 through May 2027 (excluding holiday weekends and school breaks).
  • How to Join: Space is limited. Please register here and feel free to share this link with friends and neighbors.

We’ll have an information session for new folks on August 30 in Room 1 after the service to share more about this crucial program.

Teach, Help, & Grow: Volunteer with Us!

If you would like to help out as a teacher, classroom assistant, the CYRE committee or childcare helper, please reach out to Rev. Cat. Our program exists because of volunteers like you. No teaching experience is required! We provide all the training and materials you need! Volunteers must pass a background check.
