Celebration of the life of Cecil Bridges

Please join us in remembering, grieving, and celebrating UUCPA member Cecil Bridges, who died on April 15 at the age of 99.

Cecil and his beloved wife June belonged to UUCPA for many years, first splitting their time between the Peninsula and Austin, TX, where they were active in the First Unitarian Universalist Church, and then settling here. June died in 2021. Cecil, like June, was a lifelong activist, causing good trouble on issues ranging from racial justice to labor to the war in Vietnam. He was a professor of experimental psychology at several universities, an amateur musician, a licensed pilot, and a talented tinkerer, holding a patent in an important accessibility device for deaf people. And he and June raised three children, who will be here to celebrate their father’s life.

You can attend in person in the Main Hall, or on Zoom at this link. Zoom attendees will be invited to share remembrances along with those attending in person, and to follow along in the online order of service.
