Sunday, April 12, 2026 – Soul Focus

Though suicidal despair and authoritarian domination may seem poles apart, in his Soul Focus sermon series Rev. Peter suggests that both arise mainly from modern materialism’s spiritual wasteland—and that archaic religious remedies now only aggravate these and related ills. He also reclaims the soul’s significance for modern people, showing how its inner guidance system gives our lives transcendent meaning and deep coherence without needing to “believe” in any ultimate deity or reality. And Soul Focus describes how hearkening to our soul’s beckonings turns out to be the most beneficial thing we can do for ourselves and others, thus helping to foster personal and communal well-being like nothing else.
