We’re glad to share a meaningful step for our congregation’s future. At its September meeting, the Board voted unanimously to establish the UUCPA Endowment Fund — a permanent fund to help secure the church’s financial foundation for generations to come.
The endowment is inspired and founded by a generous bequest from the estate of the Cassel family. Richard, Phyllis and their son Chaz were deeply involved for decades in this church. They were active members, volunteers, leaders, and friends. Their commitment and leadership helped shape the ideals that guide UUCPA today. And now, their generosity will create lasting support for the community we love.
Our annual pledges will always be what keeps us operating day to day. The endowment does something different: it is a gift to people we will never meet. It builds long-term stability beyond any single year, and over time it can help sustain the ministries, the building, and the mission that make UUCPA what it is.
The Cassel gift begins the fund, but it’s meant to grow. In the months ahead, we’ll share more information on how you, too, can contribute to UUCPA’s future through living legacy gifts and bequests.
