Winter Solstice Service – Dec 21

Main Hall & online, 7:00 pm. Join us on this longest night of the year! Our simple ceremony lasts under an hour, and is followed by abundant food – (cheese, dips, pies, nuts.) and hot mulled wine and hot cider. Just come – food provided. Our solstice ceremony includes meditative music, readings, and all of us lighting candles to celebrate the return of light. This year we return to holding our Solstice Ceremony in person in the Main Hall, although of course, we conclude by burning a yule log outdoors in our fire pit. Children and adults are welcome.

The Holiday Bazaar and Bake Sale – Sun, Dec 11

The Holiday Bazaar and Bake Sale returns this year on Sunday, December 11th in the Fireside Room from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm.
Love to bake? Donations of homemade baked goods will be most welcomed on Sunday morning, December 11th.
In previous years popular baked sale items included Chris Corvetti’s fresh-baked breads, Jeff Cashdollar’s homemade fudge and Dora Fishman’s lime bars.
Find these treats and more in the Fireside Room on Sunday, December 11th from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm.

Campus workday – Dec 3

Are you interested in getting together in person, in community with other UUCPA folks? Come to the work day on Saturday, December 3 from 9 am-noon.

Note that autumn leaves auction party and the lunch pot luck have been canceled due to rain.

Undie Sunday 2022 is Underway – Donate Now!

Every year UUCPA collects NEW underwear, socks, gloves, and such for the Opportunity Center’s Holiday Shoppe.  This year Undie Sunday online donations opened on Saturday, November 19 and will continue through Saturday, December 10.  In-kind donations may be made at the church through Sunday, December 11.

Buy Unsold Auction Items – available until Dec 4

On Saturday November 19th, we closed out the Dave Jewett Memorial auction and emailed everyone who won items a statement: Please find your statement online and complete checkout at the auction site: https://auctria.events/uucpa2022auction or bring in a check to the UUCPA office. If you bring in a check, please email auction@uucpa.org so that we can track your payment.
There are a few unsold items – especially places at events and parties that remain available. These will be sold at a fixed price at the auction site until 12/4/22.

Physical item pickup is at the back of Room 4 /5 until Jeff decides it’s been there too long. Let’s not test his patience.

Important Update from COVID Safety Team at UUCPA

As you probably know, the CDC has recently changed its guidance for up-to-date vaccination. They now recommend that everyone 5 years and older receive the bivalent (Omicron) booster, which became available Sept. 2, 2022. 

Starting on Dec. 4th, proof of this latest booster will be required to enter indoor services. You can avoid the line on Dec. 4 by showing proof of your bivalent booster anytime in the upcoming weeks. You can show your vaccination card to the ushers at the door, or email a picture of your card to jeff@uucpa.org.
