Great news on the Campus Vision Project! Both of our permits, the Building Permit and the Utility Permit, have been approved! So are we knocking down walls tomorrow? Not quite yet …
The next step is to get an updated bid from the contractor, Bach Construction, based on the approved plans which include changes required by the city since the original bids were made. Then we will negotiate a contract. We expect to begin construction soon after the contract is signed. The Relocation Team, Jane Chronis and Mayo Tsuzuki, have been working hard to prepare everyone for the construction. If you feel like we’ve been waiting for these permits for a long time, you’re not wrong. Getting the utility permit took exactly 11 months and the building permit took 8 months and 10 days. But the waiting is now over and we have the green light to move ahead!
