The weather report says showers in Palo Alto tomorrow. That could mean beautiful skies and rainbows so let’s head out to the Palo Alto Baylands as planned.
We gather at Terminal Blvd. in Mountain View at 9 am. We’ll take our time and probably finish around noon.
This one-way loop involves a short car-shuttle. We’ll leave some cars parked at Terminal Boulevard, just off the east end of San Antonio Road in Palo Alto, then carpool back along East Bayshore Road and out Embarcadero Road to Byxbee Hills Park. From there, we’ll start our walk along Mayfield Slough out toward the bay and around Adobe Creek Loop trail on the levees back to Terminal Blvd.
Bring warm clothes (be prepared for rain, too), field guides, and binoculars.
