JUDAISM AROUND THE YEAR

The great rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel said, “Judaism teaches us to be attached to holiness in time, to be attached to sacred events, to learn how to consecrate sanctuaries that emerge from the magnificent stream of a year. . . ” This introduction to Judaism thus follows the Jewish year, immersing us in sacred times and how they are celebrated, and taking us through Jewish lore, legend, mysticism, ethics, and philosophy along the way. Amy acquired a broad and deep knowledge of this beautiful, ancient tradition through her upbringing in Conservative Judaism.
