Julie Lythcott-Haims: Reflections on Serving on the Palo Alto City Council

Sunday, August 27, 11:45 AM–1:15 PM; Fireside Room (Hybrid)

With Building Community as one of our themes for 2023, UUCPA welcomes back one of our favorite guest speakers—Julie Lythcott-Haims, author, TED speaker, activist, community builder, educator, neighbor, and now Palo Alto City Council member. Elected in November 2022 on a platform of affordable housing, youth mental health, climate action, human rights, and belonging, she will share her insights, reflections, and observations from almost a year as a council member. Additionally, she will outline her vision regarding the most compelling and urgent issues for our community during her next three years in office. There will be ample time for questions following her talk.
