Voter Suppression:  The Biggest Threat to Democracy in 2020

Reclaim Our Vote 2020 Kickoff and fundraiser, with the film “Suppressed:  The Fight to Vote”, presentation of the 2020 strategy and plan by Founder Andrea Miller, and postcard writing.

Register at:  bit.ly/ROV-1-27-20

Hear Andrea Miller, Founder of Reclaim Our Vote, outline the strategy for 2020, alerting people of color who have been taken off the voter rolls (5MM people of color in Texas alone, with 38 Electoral Votes).
Come help us UU The Vote:
  • Watch “Suppressed: The Fight to Vote”, award-winning film
  • Hear why Andrea succeeds in restoring voting rights
  • Understand the roles you play in delivering that success
  • Join the fundraiser to buy lists and print materiel.
This event is co-sponsored by the UUCPA Action Council, UUFRC Social Action Committee, UU San Mateo, the Island United Church, San Francisco Peninsula People Power, and the Mid-Peninsula ACLU Volunteer Chapter.

Reclaim Our Vote is a volunteer-driven, nonpartisan outreach campaign to fight voter suppression, especially in the South.  We are organized by the Center for Common Ground of Virginia, with the help of the NAACP, Black Voters Matter, VoteRiders, DemLabs, Mi Familia Vota and other organizations.  We phone, postcard, and text voters of color who were purged from the voter rolls, to ask them to re-register and vote.
