Lunar libration with phase2Robert Heinlein’s exploration of libertarianism, authoritarianism, and revolution will be an interesting jumping-off point for a conversation about our own political situation. The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress was published in 1966. Leigh Kimmel calls it “the work of the man at the height of his powers,” and numerous critics hail its computer co-protagonist, “Mike,” as a refreshing departure from the many sci-fi cliches of intelligent computers.
