Sunday School for children and youth preK through grade 8, OWL 4-6
- 9:50 AM – 6-8 is visiting St. Mark’s Episcopal Church of Palo Alto, located at 600 Colorado Ave. in Palo Alto. In a recent class, the youth selected this place for our last field trip. As we discussed in CYRE class last Sunday, St. Mark’s is a Protestant congregation that combines traditional Christian beliefs, liturgy, and rituals with progressive social views and activism. The church website has some additional information about what to expect in a service: https://saint-marks.com/what-
to-expect/ Since we will attend the 10am worship service let’s meet outside at 9:50am, so we can enter and get seated together. You can meet us at the church or come to UUCPA by 9:40am to carpool with one of the teachers. Interested parents are welcome to come too. - 10:30 AM –
- OWL 4-6 meets in Room 4-5. OWL dismisses at 12 on the playground.
- Preschool – 8 not participating in OWL 4-6 or the Neighboring Faiths middle school field trip are invited to RE programming after the story in the Main service at 10:30 AM. Spring Project (Preschool – 5th Grade) continue their dive into Beltane and everything Spring! Come learn the Maypole dance with us and make flower crowns.
Because we believe in learning by doing, a very important part of our religious education is participation, with all ages, in the first part of regular worship services. Then during Sunday school, young people learn and play with people their age. Feel free to ask Sunday school teachers what they did this week. If you would like to review curriculum materials that are not online, please contact Rev. Cat Boyle.
