Requesting Justice Partner Nominations for FY25-26

Would you like to suggest a non-profit organization to be a Justice Partner in the coming fiscal year?  Each month UUCPA supports a social justice organization by donating one Sunday’s plate collection to that organization.  You are invited to propose organizations for inclusion in the FY25-26 Justice Partner program.

The Action Council generally prefers organizations that are small and local.  This year we would like to place a special focus on organizations that help people or causes at particular risk during the coming year, which could include organizations serving immigrants and LGBTQIA+ people.  If you have suggestions for organizations in these categories, we would particularly like to hear from you.

Please send suggestions for new partners and/or support for existing partners to the Action Council (email actioncouncil@uucpa.oror talk to an Action Council member) no later than Wednesday, March 19.  If you are nominating a new 501(c)3 organization (not in the current list  below), please tell us about the organization in your email (purpose, website, why you are nominating it). The Action Council will review the current and proposed organizations and present a slate of partners for the 2025-26 fiscal year at the Annual Meeting on April 27 for a congregational vote.

UUCPA is supporting the following organizations for the current fiscal year (2024-2025):

  • Outlet – May
  • Peninsula Food Runners (new partner) – June
  • American Muslim Voice (AMV) – July
