Barb came out as transgender 30 years ago. Join him as he reflects on what was and is like to be transgender in these times, as well as how Unitarian Universalism has saved, supported, and challenged his life for these past 3 decades.

Mr. Barb Greve (he/him/his) has made service to Unitarian Universalism his life’s work, from his years in the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Office of BGLT Concerns to his decades as a religious educator and his widespread leadership in support of religious professionals to his service as Co-Moderator for the UU Association of Congregations. Cofounder of Transgender Religious professional UUs Together (TRUUsT) and the Association of UU Transitions Professionals, Barb has also served on the boards of Starr King School for the Ministry, Meadville Lombard Theological School, and the UU Studies Network. He is a board certified chaplain currently serving with Kaiser Permanente Hospice in the greater San Francisco Bay area as well as an Affiliated Community Minister with the First Parish in Framingham, MA
