June is Pride Month, and UUCPA is taking part in two local Pride festivals!
- Palo Alto Pride, Sunday, June 7, 2:00–5:00 pm, King Plaza. UUCPA will be present alongside other local religious institutions at the Multifaith Voices for Peace and Justice booth.
- Mountain View Together In Pride, Saturday, June 20, 11:00am–3:00pm, City Hall Plaza & Pioneer Park. UUCPA will host a community booth.
We need volunteers to help staff the booths, including setting up, the event festivities, and packing up! Please use this form to sign up for one or more time slots!
This is a chance to proclaim loudly our unwavering solidarity with our local LGBTQ+ community and have meaningful conversations. We’ll have information about UUCPA and Unitarian Universalism on hand. We’ll also host a “What Makes A Welcoming Religious Community?” activity, wherein festival attendees can write their down their answers to this question and pin them on a colorful, hand-made frame, resulting in a beautiful collage of insights from our local community.
Thank you in advance for your help in making this possible! A fuller list of local Pride Month events is below.
