Local Saving Walden’s World free film screening
Local Saving Walden’s World free film screening Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 3:40pm.
This coming Wednesday afternoon the award-winning feature documentary film Saving Walden’s World will be shown free at Eastside College Preparatory School in East Palo Alto as part of the United Nations Association Film Festival.
It tells of filmmaker Jim Merkel’s journey as a former military weapons engineer, who had an ethical wake-up call that pivoted him toward radical simplicity, eco-feminism, permaculture, and peace. In line with UU values, the film explores how we can ensure our world works for all—including Merkel’s son Walden—within our planetary limits, and focuses on tangible, systemic solutions.
Besides receiving several film festival awards it’s been accepted for national broadcast on PBS, so it’s of high quality.
Saving Walden’s World screens free this Wednesday, October 21 at 3:40pm, at the theatre of Eastside College Preparatory School in East Palo Alto. For more details go to https://savingwaldensworld.
