Would you like to directly help someone who is unhoused? The UUCPA Action Council is holding a backpack drive with our January justice partner, Onyxx Village Connection.
Here’s how it works: After the service on January 26, stop by the Action Council table and sign out a backpack, which we will provide. Take the backpack home with you, fill it with new supplies (such as toiletries, socks, hats, gloves, non-perishable snacks, and/or gift cards), and return it to UUCPA a month later. We will provide you with an idea list of useful and recommended supplies with your backpack. Following our collection of the filled backpacks, Onyxx Village Connection will distribute the backpacks to the most vulnerable people they serve in our community.
According to Onyxx Village Connection, this backpack may be the vessel for everything this person owns. Your participation makes an immediate and tangible difference in someone’s well-being.
