This past summer, the Board set three priority areas for our attention this fiscal year. Those areas are:
- Reconnecting our community in-person
- Caring for volunteers
- Recommitting to anti-racism work at UUCPA
Of course, the Board cares about all aspects of UUCPA, but these three areas are getting some extra attention this year.
If you would like to advise the Board in these areas (or other areas), the Board welcomes your comments. You can either visit our meetings, or email the group at Boardxo@uucpa.org. Our next meeting will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7pm in the UUCPA library and on Zoom. Please drop me a note if you plan to attend.
One final note regarding our recommitment to anti-racism work: One way that I, as a white person, can do that work is by listening to and heeding the advice of folks of color. If you are a person of color, and there is something you would like the Board to know, I am especially eager to hear your thoughts.
