Beloved UUCPA community, A few of our newcomers at UUCPA are interested in forming a Chalice Circle to meet on 2nd and 4th Sundays after the service (12-1:30pm), starting in late April/early May. We need a few more folks to join them to form a group. Please write to brooke_b@uucpa.org if you are interested in doing so.
Chalice Circles deepen and broaden personal spiritual growth. A group usually consists of 5-8 members who meet at church, usually once every two weeks. Each meeting focuses on a spiritual or religious topic. The goals are to:
- Listen and be listened to in a safe place
- Learn about the mysteries of our world and our spiritual paths
- Build new and deeper personal connections
- Serve our community and one another’s needs
- Maintain personal connections and a caring community.
Each group has a facilitator or two co-facilitators who tend the health of the group and facilitate the first few sessions. Group members interested in facilitating subsequent sessions often do so.
If you are interested, could you be one of the group’s facilitators? Rev. Peter and I will offer a training for anyone who wants to serve in that way.
