Could UUCPA Work with IM4HI to Support Refugees?

Did you hear Rev. Deborah Lee, Executive Director of Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity (IM4HI), speak in the service on November 5?  She gave a very inspiring sermon on how people could help the migrants and refugees coming to the U.S.  The Action Council would like to support this justice partner in their work, but no one on the Action Council has the capacity to lead a new effort at this time.

Are you motivated and able to lead or co-lead an effort for UUCPA to support IM4HI?

This effort could be following IM4HI more closely, and watching for letter writing or other one-time opportunities. Or on a larger scale, our UUCPA effort could be a team from our church supporting an individual or family in many ways.  The Action Council can support you by sharing our experience of effective ways to engage our UUCPA community.

Please let anyone on the Action Council know if you are interested in creating and leading a team to more deeply involve UUCPA in this vital work.

Thanks,

Action Council: Sally Ahnger (Justice Partner Coordinator), Chris Cassell, Sean Hansen, Kristi Iverson (Chair), Edie Keating, Karen Skold
