Oaxaca, Mexico, is famous for these little wooden animals, richly painted with patterns in many colors (search online for “alebrijes” for examples, or see Amy’s less-than-expert but enthusiastic efforts in the Main Hall lobby). After a brief introduction to some common patterns and techniques, we will let our imaginations and paintbrushes go wild. One unpainted sculpture per participant, and all supplies, are provided.

Facilitator: Rev. Amy Zucker Morgenstern.

Cost: $40 each to benefit the church (one scholarship available, so talk to Amy privately if cost is an issue).

Strictly limited to six participants – please call the church office in advance to sign up.
