A Death Cafe is a group-directed discussion of death, an open-ended conversation with no agenda or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session. All are welcome who are going to die one day, and wish to talk with others about death candidly, respectfully, and in a confidential setting.

Thousands of Death Cafes have taken place around the world since 2011, with the only objective being “to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.”

The staples of a classic Death Cafe are warm beverages and cake. For this virtual event, you are invited to prepare a cozy beverage in your favorite mug. We look forward to hearing about yours and sharing ours–and then to having a heartfelt conversation about something that matters to us all.
