DRUUMM Bay Area Retreat
There is a UU organization specifically created by BIPOC UUs to gather together, DRUUMM (Diverse Revolutionary UU Multicultural Ministries). DRUUMM in the Bay Area has an energetic leader in the Rev. Kevin Alan Mann, who spoke here at UUCPA a few months ago, and has been convening UUs of color both in person and online.
You’re invited to come to the gathering, the Strategic Planning Summer Retreat “with your wild imaginings of a better world,” in the words of the Rev. Leslie Takahashi. Rev. Kevin says, “Now is a time to reflect on what we’ve done well, strategize where we need to go, and deepen our covenant to one another. What are the gifts you offer? What do you need from this beloved community?” Click here to register for the retreat, which will be held at the First UU Church of Oakland and online on Saturday, August 17.
