There is no telling what the weather will be like on Saturday, March 2, but we do know that the East Bay hills will be green and lush. So we’ll take a hike along the mostly-paved Nimitz Trail above Tilden Park from where we’ll look across rolling hills to San Francisco and San Pablo bays, and maybe spot some hawks, jays, and wildflowers, too.

This 3.8-mile trail is one way so we can turn around at any point.  Elevation gain is minimal, about 330 feet.

We’ll leave from UUFRC (2124 Brewster at Lowell) in Redwood City at 9 am, Saturday, March 2. Arrive early to arrange carpools. The trailhead is at 750 Wildcat Canyon Road in Berkeley. Let me know if you want to meet us there, we should arrive by 10:15 am.

Bring lunch, water, and binoculars if you are so inclined.
