LGBTQ+ Welcoming Congregation Event – Postponed
The Welcoming Congregation event scheduled for May 3 has been postponed. The new date is yet to be determined, due to the uncertainties in our present situation. We’ll let you know as soon as we can.– Susan Owicki
In 2019-2020, UUCPA is working to renew our status as a Welcoming Congregation for LGBTQ+ UUs. The UUA’s Welcoming Congregation Renewal program provides a framework for UUCPA and other UU churches to reaffirm our commitment and respond to the evolving needs and concerns of LGBTQ+ people.
As a part of the renewal process, we will offer a Welcoming Congregation seminar or webinar. The event will include lessons from a Transforming Hearts Collective seminar series on understanding the experiences and needs of transgender UUs. More details will follow in the coming weeks.
