Join a weekly online class with Dan Harper, as we talk about a variety of religion-related topics (the exact topic will be announced the preceding Sunday). Stay for the whole session, or drop in when you can.

On Wednesday, April 1, we’ll discuss Western Religions:

When most people think of Western religious texts, they think of the Christian Bible. But Western culture offers so much more than just the Christian Bible, including many texts that predate Christianity. I’ll give a brief intro to some of these texts, including how to find many of them for free online. We’ll talk about what constitutes a religious text — surely the Talmud counts as religious text, but what about Henry Thoreau? or Sartre? or Sappho? Then we’ll dive into some Western religious texts, and talk about what we find there (if anything).
