Professor Kathryn Gin Lum, Religion, Race, and the ‘Heathen’ at St. Mark’s

Last year UUCPA agreed to co-sponsor St. Mark’s Episcopal Church’s speaker series on White Christian Nationalism and its threats to our communities. The final event in this series is coming up!
The next speaker event will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church at 7 PM. The speaker is Stanford Professor Kathryn Gin Lum. She will speak about her recent book, HEATHEN Religion and Race in American History. In her book, Professor Gin Lum illuminates how othering people as heathens created an additional means to discriminate against them.
