Join Sven or Anne (or other nearby Democracy Lovers) to write Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) letters! These GOTV letters increase the participation of historically underrepresented communities in swing states and districts: people of color, women, young voters, and more. “UU the Vote” has been partnering with Vote Forward since 2020 to send these letters.
We do not write an entire letter. Instead, we add 1 or 2 handwritten, heartfelt sentences to a pre-printed letter template and then address the envelope. See a sample here.
Sven and Anne are each hosting a few letter-writing parties over the next month, as are a few other friends in Palo Alto and nearby. There are also letter parties in Mountain View, Los Altos, on Zoom, and many other locations. You may also pick up free, blank letters anytime. Here are all the options you can choose from:
