Our Justice Partner for October is Pathwise, Palo Alto’s only free, non-profit, after-school enrichment program for less-resourced and historically underrepresented middle school students. They offer social-emotional learning (SEL), academic support, and near-peer mentoring; train high school students to mentor the middle school students; and support families through parent education, school guidance, and advocacy. This coming Sunday, October 4, Nicole Chiu-Wang will join us to speak about Pathwise. The entire offering collection that day will be donated to the organization. In addition to the service Sunday, you may make a donation in the church office. Please make checks payable to UUCPA and put “Justice Partner” in the memo line. UUCPA is proud to support such a valuable community organization.
