Our Justice Partner for July is Peninsula Interfaith Climate Action (PICA). PICA is a Regional Working Group of California Interfaith Power and Light, with members from various congregations in the Bay Area. Members work to reduce the carbon footprint at their facilities; create and share educational programs; and work on local, state, and national legislative issues.
This coming Sunday, July 19, Debbie Mytels, the Chair of PICA, will join us to speak about their work at our morning worship service. The entire offering collection that day will be donated to them. In addition to the service Sunday, you may make a donation in the church office. Please make checks payable to UUCPA and put “Justice Partner” in the memo line. UUCPA is proud to support such a valuable community organization.
