Starting January 25, 2026 during our usual Sunday School time (10:45 AM-11:45 AM), UUCPA is offering K-1 and 4-6 OWL classes (4-6 OWL start date TBA). “Our Whole Lives” (OWL) for elementary students is a comprehensive sexuality education curriculum. It is a comprehensive, values-based program designed to provide age-appropriate information on topics like human development, relationships, and sexual health to help children make informed and responsible decisions throughout their lives. - Grades K-1: This eight-workshop curriculum helps children ages five through seven begin the process of forming attitudes and values about identity, relationships, safety, and health. Topics include birth, bodies, babies, and diverse family structures.
- Grades 4-6: This ten-workshop curriculum for children ages nine through twelve is designed to help them understand and express their sexuality in life-enhancing ways. It covers topics such as physical and emotional changes during puberty, media and body image, love, family and friends, sex and gender, and decision-making.

Afterwards there is a parents’ orientation for K-1 OWL in Room 1 from after service for an hour.
If all this OWL (Our Whole Lives – a comprehensive, values-based program designed to provide age-appropriate information on topics like human development, relationships, and sexual health to help children make informed and responsible decisions throughout their lives) sparks your interest for your K-1 student, you are very welcome to attend the Parents’ Orientation right after service (11:30 ish) in Room 1 for a primer on what OWL entails, what you can expect as parents and for your children. We will be hosting another first lesson for K-1 OWL on 2/1/26 if those who missed the first class to catch up.
