So many of us are familiar with the story of David vs Goliath.  It is a story deeply rooted in the way we tell ourselves that we can face and overcome whatever stands between us and our desired outcomes.

This week we will look at this story in its simplest form, hoping to find that it has sufficient load-bearing qualities and teaching properties for those of us facing overwhelming odds.  David’s experience says power to overcome may be hidden in plain sight. The question is are we open to letting him teach us?

We have invited David to be present.  We now invite you as well.

Guest preacher: John Wright (he/him)

Worship Associate: Brian Weller (he/him)

Reading: Excerpts from 1 Samuel Chapter 17 verses 1-50
