Diana and Shay followed very different paths to Unitarian Universalist ministry, beginning with the fact that Shay was raised Catholic and Diana was raised UU. They’ll share their journey, and explore what this means about the stories each of us brings to our Unitarian Universalist identity.

Worship leaders: Revs. Shay MacKay and Diana McLean are a clergy couple, both ordained UU ministers, and together have created an entrepreneurial arts-based ministry called Sacred Depths.  Shay grew up in the golden prairies of the Midwest, is a composer and musician, and graduated from Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley, CA.  Diana traveled the world with her military family, is a published writer with an MFA in creative writing from Naropa University, and is the proud mother of a nineteen-year-old son, Aidan.  She graduated from Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO.  They currently live in St. Louis Park, MN, with two cats and a puppy named Gus.

Special music: Veronika Agranov-Dafoe, piano
