It’s time to get good at the pivot. We know enough to have lived through the idea that “God is change,” as it says in Octavia Butler’s great novel Parable of the Sower. But Butler has more to say about what comes next. Let’s get curious about practicing our pivot- about our morphing and transformation.

From New Orleans, Rev. Sara is a minister-gardener-artist who loves dinner parties and traveling. She understands herself as part of a legacy of cultural workers, healers, maroons and creoles, southern queer freedom fighters and artists trying to shape god.

Worship leader: Rev. Sara Green

Follow along in the order of service, bit.ly/uucpa_oos_20230108.

We gather in person in the Main Hall, in person on the main patio, and via Zoom: bit.ly/uucpa_service_11am (it’s the same link we used to use for the 11 am service). In-person, we are distanced 3′ and masked for safety; proof of vaccination is required to enter the Main Hall. You may also sit on the patio if you prefer. Please sign in at the welcome table as you arrive, for the sake of contact tracing. To watch the service live on our Facebook page, visit: www.facebook.com/uucpa/live_videos.
