Suggest a Justice Partner by March 27

Would you like to suggest a non-profit organization for Justice Partner?  Each month the Church supports a social justice organization by donating one Sunday’s plate collection to the organization.  Suggestions for new partners and support for existing partners should be sent to the Action Council (email or talk to an action council member) before Wed, March 27.

The Action Council generally prefers organizations that are small and local, and prioritizes those in which a congregant is actively involved.  If you’d like to suggest an organization, just email and tell us about it.

The Action Council will review the current and proposed organizations and present a slate of partners for the 2024-25 fiscal year at the Annual Meeting on April 21 for a congregational vote.

UUCPA is supporting the following organizations for the current fiscal year (2023-24):

  • Outlet
  • Ada’s Cafe
  • American Muslim Voice
  • California Interfaith Power and Light
  • Hotel de Zink
  • South Bay Sanctuary Covenant
  • Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity (IM4HI)
  • Acterra
  • Onyxx
  • Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ)
  • Heart and Home
  • Community Health Awareness Council
