FOR YOUR SAFETY AT ALL TIMES, PLEASE RESPECT ANY BARRIERS AND SIGNAGE ON CAMPUS.
Construction continues next week. All current closures are still in effect. Please use caution near construction areas.
CURRENT CLOSURE STATUS:
KITCHEN + CHOIR ROOM
The kitchen and choir room are closed for construction until further notice. The hallway next to the kitchen is blocked around the kitchen, choir room, closets and exit doors. The two end closets are accessible only from the Main Hall.
*NEW*
There is planned plumbing work that will result in the shutoff of Main Hall water for approximately 1 hour on Monday (4/13) during construction hours, probably in the afternoon. This will affect the bathrooms in the lobby.
MAIN HALL + LOBBY
The Main Hall furnace has been removed and the room is temporarily being heated with electric space heaters, as needed. Please respect the caution tape and do not touch the heaters. Take particular care to keep children away from the heaters.
*NEW*
There is a hole in the floor of the lobby to provide worker access. This week, that access will be in heavy use, so for safety reasons, the lobby is closed to most users during construction hours. This includes the bathrooms. Evenings and weekends, the hole will be closed and safely covered for regular use of the lobby.
PARKING
The parking lot is open for regular use. During construction hours, there will be spaces reserved for contractor use along the Mitchell Park fence.
COMING SOON:
Some time in the next few weeks, the Relocation team will be adding signage and stripes to convert the entrance driveway to two-way traffic (with no parking) due to the closure of the exit driveway for excavation. This traffic pattern is expected to last about three weeks.
This regular announcement describes the current closures and cautions on campus. Find the status of campus construction closures here on the UUCPA website or via the Weekly Update and Announce email lists (subscribe here).
Please send questions or concerns to Jeff Cashdollar (jeff@uucpa.org) or the Relocation team (relocation@uucpa.org).
