UUCPA Signs Letter Protesting Anti-Muslim Rhetoric by Public Officials

On the recommendation of Multifaith Voices for Peace and Justice, the Action Council recently signed an open letter from a coalition called Shoulder to Shoulder** which denounces recent anti-Muslim bigotry from public officials. On October 26 the Board voted unanimously to sign this letter on behalf of our whole congregation. There are already many signatories to the letter, both as organizations and individuals, including the Unitarian Universalist Association, Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice, Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, and UU churches of Cumberland Valley and Berkeley.  If you would like to sign as an individual, you can also do that by following the links on the Open Letter page.  Note that the list of signatories is only updated periodically, so is not always current.

**The Shoulder to Shoulder Campaign: Standing with American Muslims, Advancing American Ideals is a national multifaith coalition of religious denominations and faith-based organizations who are committed to ending anti-Muslim hatred, discrimination, and violence in the United States of America.
