UUCPA Class: Next Step After Overturning Roe: Fetal Personhood? – Jan 22, 11:45 AM

Anti-abortion activists are pushing for laws that grant fetuses the same legal rights and protections as any person. Such laws would mean that, regardless of any abortion-specific legislation, abortion would be considered an act of murder under existing law – even where an abortion ban created exceptions for rape, maternal health, or otherwise. At the federal level, fetal personhood could transform the current, post-Roe “leave it to the states” approach into a total ban on abortion. Join us to learn about and discuss the issues surrounding these efforts.

Fourth Sunday Waffles and snacks will be available after the 10:15 am service. Suggested contribution $2.
