Celebrating the Lives of Kay and Byron Brown – January 11, 2026

January 3rd, 2026 by

As many of you know, on Dec. 11th our community lost beloved members Kay and Byron Brown when, after recent steep health declines and a hospitalization for each of them, they both chose a death-with-dignity surrounded by their five children. Their joint Memorial/Celebration-of-Life service will take place at UUCPA and online on Sunday, January 11th, at 1pm. (Our normally scheduled Second Sunday Lunch will move to the third Sunday, January 18th.) Rev. Cat Boyle and I hope those of you who knew Byron and Kay will be present to commemorate their lives and honor their deaths. Meanwhile we join you in mourning their loss, and on behalf of UUCPA send our heartfelt condolences to their family and other friends.

In gratitude and sympathy, Rev. Peter Farriday
