COVID-19 safety for in-person programs

Our precautions for in-person programs meet or exceed local school requirements. Our in-person programs will be:

  • outdoors, masked, and physically distanced
  • in areas that are physically fenced off from other programs
  • in small groups, to allow better supervision
  • led by staff and volunteers who are fully vaccinated

Other safety protocols that we’re following:

  • bathrooms used by one person at a time, and not shared with other UUCPA programs
  • no snacks or food, unless every participant is fully vaccinated (e.g., the Senior High Youth Group)
  • everyone must wear masks on campus on Sunday mornings
  • children/teens who feel ill should always stay home

If a child, teen, or adult in any UUCPA program experiences any COVID symptoms, they must get a COVID-19 test as soon as possible or provide a medical note before returning. If the test is negative, they are to remain home until at least 24 hours after resolution of fever and improvement of symptoms. If they test positive, they should immediately notify UUCPA, and then isolate for 10 days and at least 24 hours with no symptoms. Close contacts at UUCPA will be notified to receive testing and to quarantine. (Close contact means within 6 feet of a positive case for 15 minutes or more within a 24 hour period.)
