Healing the Divide Special Event

Healing the Divide is a UUCPA group that formed after the 2016 election to ask: 1) what do we not understand about others with more conservative viewpoints, and 2) what can we learn that will help us communicate even across wide differences in belief.

On October 4, 2020, we’ll be having a very special meeting of Healing the Divide.  Our guests will be five Braver Angels who identify as Red.  They will engage with five members of our congregation, who mostly identify as Blue, in a Living Room Conversation on the topic “2020 Election – Concerns and Aspirations”.  (A Living Room Conversation provides a conversational structure whose aim is to facilitate connection between people despite their differences, and even identify areas of common ground and shared understanding.)

Sunday, October 4, from 1 to 2:30 or 3 pm (starting at 1, the Living Room Conversation ends about 2:30, another 1/2 hour of questions is optional)
