Hike in Golden Gate Park to Hear Open-air Piano Concerts
Date(s) - 07/07/2018
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
UU Fellowship of Redwood City
Called Flower Piano, this event will transform San Francisco Botanical Garden into the city’s own alfresco concert hall, and everyone is invited to play and listen. Visitors will find twelve pianos tucked among the many flower-filled gardens and are encouraged to play what they like, from chopsticks to Tchaikovsky. On weekends professional pianists and a host of other musicians will perform throughout the garden as well.
We’ll leave from UUFRC (2124 Brewster at Lowell) in Redwood City at 9am, Saturday, July 7. Arrive early to arrange carpools. If you want to meet us at the park, our hike starts from the Ocean Beach parking lot on the west side of the Great Highway northwest of the Murphy Windmill. We should arrive there around 9:45am.
Bring lunch and water and money for entry to the botanical garden:
- Adults: $8.00
- Ages 12-17 and 65+: $6.00
- Ages 5-11: $2.00
