I’ve always admired the customer service at Trader Joe’s for being so friendly, helpful, available, and expert. So when I had lunch with a Trader Joe’s employee, I took the opportunity to ask some questions about it:https://printable-map.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/free-treasure-map-outline-download-free-clip-art-free-clip-art-on-pertaining-to-free-printable-treasure-map.jpg
Does their training emphasize customer service? (Answer: Yes. They even give their approach a special name.)
How do the managers support them in carrying it out? (Answer: By giving them lots of flexibility about how they spend their shifts.)
What were they taught? Ah, the answer to that is a little too long for this space. But come to this workshop and you’ll learn it yourself. We’ll see how a few tips from TJs make a big difference to the welcome we offer newcomers to UUCPA, and in any other community to which we belong.
A light lunch will be provided, as will childcare.
