Introduction to the Interim Minister Search

On January 22nd, Rev. Amy announced her plan to resign from her position as UUCPA Parish Minister in June. (Read her full announcement here.) While saddened by her decision to leave, the board acknowledges with deep gratitude Amy’s more than 22 years of service and will be working with her to plan a celebration worthy of her long tenure with us.

In the meantime, the board wants to update you on our work toward the next transitional phase. The board has identified an Interim Search Team that is a subset of the board. The team’s responsibility is to work with the UUA Ministerial Transitions Team to hire an interim minister who will serve at UUCPA for a likely period of two years and help guide us in our search for our next called minister. The members of the UUCPA Interim Search Team are:

  • Heather Chen
  • Kevin Crane
  • Judy Lookabill
  • Mayo Tsuzuki

The UUA has a well-laid out process and timeline with established milestones for hiring an interim minister, and we plan to follow it. What does that mean for UUCPA? Below is the timeline.
