At Home in the Mystery

In Terence Malick’s rich and beautiful film, The Tree of Life, a preacher gives voice to an existential worry: “There is no hiding place in all the world where trouble may not find you. No one knows when sorrow might visit his house, any more than Job did.” Dick Duda requested a sermon on this topic and today, we are guided by the anonymous author of Job and others who have pondered how we can live in this world so full of sorrow. Martin Manley brings us his jazz piano and at 11, the choir sings “The Road Home” (Paulus).
