Life in Silicon Valley is phenomenally stressful. There are as many different ways to try to cope with its pressures as there are personalities, and understanding how our personality intersects with the stress can help us to be less vulnerable to the complete exhaustion known as burnout. One cultural resource for this understanding: the movie Encanto, which is nothing less than a musical guide to how different personalities risk burnout. Fortunately, it also provides a cure–and so does UUCPA.
With the help of the choir and several singers from the congregation, you might see yourself in the character of Luisa, Isabela, Mirabel, or another member of the movie’s magical family. And of course, we’ll talk about Bruno.
