Our church has loyally provided $$ and “Undies” for the Opportunity Center for many years. The photos show the preparation for distribution of the bounty and the plaque honoring Litsie Indergard for her devotion to the cause.
The Center is a day drop in program providing services to homeless adults, many with substance and mental health challenges.
The holiday clothing event provides women and men new gloves, sleeping bags, jackets, socks, health care items, and of course “Undies”.
We have the opportunity to add to the largess this Christmas Eve, continuing the UUCPA tradition of sending the in house and Zoom dollar donations from both Cmas Eve services to the Center. Feel free, generous and inspired this season of comfort and joy, toward our homeless neighbor families.
