Help Wanted……..The Opportunity Center at 33 Encinitas Ave, Palo Alto regularly needs volunteers at meal time. The Center, open 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday, provides emergency shelter, food, and case management to adult men and women in Palo Alto. The help needed is at breakfast, 8 – 9:30 am, or lunchtime 11:55 am – 1:00 pm. Ideally, you volunteer for a day or more a week for either meal. No cooking, just serving, the food is provided. Brian Weller was the UUCPA liaison to the Opportunity Center from UUCPA and is now appealing for a few UUs to join this worthy, local cause.
